The Saucony Hurricane 24 is a supportive everyday running shoe with a soft and bouncy feel. We usually say "ride," but here feel is the appropriate word—as we don't actually run in the Hurricane all the much. Wiith the plethora of max stack and super max stack (42+ mm in the heel) options on the market in 2024, the Hurricane has slotted into the rotation beatifully as an everyday comfort shoe for dad duties and neighborhood walks. And beautiful it is, especially in the sultry moon/currant colorway pictured here. For actual running, we did find the ride of the Hurricane enjoyable and our favorite for training from Saucony this year. It's as fun, protective and stable for trips to Lowes as it is for strides down the cul-de-sac. This would also make a great half marathon shoe for a running seeking supportive comfort. The only major downside is the ironically bad wet weather grip (the shoe is named Hurricane, after all...). If you're looking for a shoe with more running prowess and better grip, check out the Puma MagMax, which is the shoe we've found ourselves reaching for over the Hurricane. For a soft, supportive but more streamlined feel for everyday miles, check out the New Balance 860v14.
