It has a tall stack of foam, but remains decently light on foot due to the bounciness of the foam. The sidewalls wrap around the heel to create a cradle for the heel on landing, which makes this a much more stable ride than other max cushioned shoes. Bigger runners may find this a bit soft and mushy and may prefer shoes like the Asics Novablast 4 or Brooks Ghost Max 2. Buyer beware that this shoe also runs snug—so those with a wide foot or who are prone to blisters may want to get the wide version or go half a size up.
